Our first fundraiser
On Saturday 09.04. a fundraiser took place in Oldenburg during a street festival on Groninger Strasse. Money was collected here for Ukrainian refugees and for CVOVS. At the same time, we were able to present our young organization to the actors and visitors and recruit interested parties for a partner association in Germany. We are very happy that so many people want to help us! Thank you for the donations, your ideas and your support!

We get a big donation
In mid-December, we were invited to the Berufsbildende Schule Technik in Cloppenburg. There, a Christmas bazaar with lots of delicious food, drinks, handicrafts and a raffle took place, through which the students, teachers, parents and supporters of the school collected donations. Through Keti's contacts, CVOVS was the lucky recipient of that money this year. We had the opportunity to introduce ourselves to the whole school and to advertise our new association "Werte de Kinder". Afterwards the chairwoman of CVOVS, Keti Kajumba, was able to receive the donations herself.
We would like to thank BBS Cloppenburg very much for supporting us with this money! It will benefit the children in Uganda supported by CVOVS and will make an important contribution to their education.
Thank you!

Information evening on the Ugandan school system -
with Prof. Dr. Violet Kajubiri-Froelich

The differences between the Ugandan and German education systems are huge. In order to understand how colonial rule in Uganda influenced the school system there and what consequences the current situation has on the population, we invited a guest : Dr. Violet Kajubiri-Froelich. She is an education expert and works as such in the Ministry of Education in Uganda. With her specialist knowledge, she was able to give us an in-depth insight into the situation of schools and schoolchildren in Uganda and answer interested questions from the audience.
We would like to thank you very much for your multifaceted presentation, your commitment and your insight into the topic!
We would also like to thank the IGS Flötenteich school for generously providing the premises and equipment, without which the evening would not have been possible!

Human Rights Day in Oldenburg! And we are there!

In order to celebrate the diversity of the people of this earth and to draw attention to the situations of people in other regions of the world, associations and initiatives organized Human Rights Day on sunny Saturday, September 21, 2024 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. And of course we, as a regional association, were there too, talking to people and making contact with other associations.
At this point, a big thank you to the Oldenburg Ecumenical Center (ÖZO) for the invitation and the commitment to planning this day!
