Who are we?
We are a non-profit, community-born charity called CVOVS - Children's Values: Orphans, Vulnerable and Special need children . We are an independent, volunteer-based, not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping a community in western Uganda.
CVOVS is led by Keti Kajumba, a member of the community who is currently doing her doctorate in special need education in Germany. Keti is supported by volunteers from the community who work voluntarily to improve educational opportunities for disadvantaged children from their home community.

CVOVS is a community-based charity calledChildren's Values: Orphans, Vulnerable and Special needs children in Uganda. Here, members of the Ugandan community work together on a voluntary basis to support children in the community who are disadvantaged by various causes in their education.

WdK
Werte der Kinder is a voluntary association based in Oldenburg, Germany and dedicated to supporting CVOVS and thereby empowering less privileged children from the Ugandan community. WdK is a young, dynamic association that is constantly looking for new members and people with ideas to help CVOVS. WdK is led by a board of people from diverse professional backgrounds but with a shared will to create equality for students in Uganda.
Cooperation
Both associations pursue the goal of offering orphaned, disadvantaged and disabled school children in the community of Bunyangabu District in western Uganda a fair chance of education and promising future prospects.

This is CVOVS in Uganda.

Volunteer members of the community.

Through Keti's studies at the University of Oldenburg, a close friendship developed between her and me (Alissa Fortkamp). Through my voluntary service at a school in Uganda's neighboring country Kenya, I saw the educational situation of the poorer population and its consequences directly.
In 2021, the idea came up to found our own non-profit organization to support school children in Keti's hometown. Now that CVOVS is registered locally in Uganda, we would like to use our connections in Germany to set up an association here that supports CVOVS from abroad.
We believe that accepting and participating in the community improves access to education for children with disabilities.

Our vision
To send disadvantaged children into a hopeful and successful future through holistic education.
Our mission
Adapting inclusive education for orphaned and particularly vulnerable and children with special needs.
