Recipients
A sponsorship is a regular support for a child.
The children featured on this page are already part of the CVOVS support program in Uganda. Each of the children has special challenges in terms of education and needs support from us to successfully overcome these challenges. We hope that as the clubs grow, the number of students eligible for support will continue to grow so that we can help as many children as possible.
Example calculation for a sponsorship:
1st class: approx. €450 per year in school costs (school fees, materials, school uniform, examination fees if
applicable)
approx. 150 € per school term (4 months)
approx. 50 € per month
10th grade: approx. 1,500 € per year in school costs (school fees, materials, school uniform, class trip,
Final examination fees, boarding school costs such as food, Accommodation etc.)
approx. 500 € per school term (4 months)
approx. 167 € per month
Of course, you can also become a sponsor as a married couple, as a family or as a group of friends! This way, the costs can be shared and you can support a child together.

Name : Prischilar
Level : has completed secondary school with a high school diploma and qualified for university!
Interests : Artistic and craft-related tasks, natural sciences
Family situation : Prischilar's father died when she was four years old. Her mother is also chronically ill and was unable to care for Prischilar adequately, so she moved in with her grandmother. However, the family's income is insufficient to reliably finance Prischilar's schooling.

Moses sent us his own text:
"My name is Magezi Moses, [from] Bunyangabu, Uganda."
I started primary school in 2006 [...].
I walked one and a half kilometers from home to school every day. I managed to complete primary school in 2012, despite all the problems I had with school fees, accommodation, and especially the lack of school lunch. In 2013, I attended the [...] School [...]. For six years, from first to sixth grade, I walked to school, covering a distance of seven kilometers.
I graduated from upper secondary school in 2018, but unfortunately I missed out on government funding and had to work during school breaks and take on odd jobs for two years. It wasn't until 2022 that I was accepted to a Diploma in Secondary Education program at [...] with the help of the organization CVOVS.
I'm still pursuing this course, even though I struggle with the tuition fees, as my parents sometimes can't afford them because they also have to support my siblings. I feel like I have a lot to do to provide for my family [...] and I can only achieve that by getting an education [...]. [...] I believe that one day I will achieve my goals [...]."
We are currently looking for people to support Moses with his tuition fees!

Name : Nancy
Level : 8th grade
Family Situation : Nancy's parents have both died and the girl lives with a guardian. However, she does not have a regular income herself, so that Nancy's education is jeopardized by the lack of school fees.
Her wish : Nancy wants to be a teacher so that she can help her siblings and later her own children with their schoolwork.

4. Profile
Name : Doreen
Level : 4th class
Family situation : Doreen has ten siblings but only one parent. Her mother is therefore not able to cover the school costs for all the children every school year.
Her wish : Doreen is lame in her left arm, which is why she uses her right arm to write. Since Doreen has not yet received adequate treatment, her right arm trembles severely when performing fine motor tasks and she finds it difficult, for example, to write longer sentences. Doreen therefore wants other learning methods that adapt to her impairment.
CVOVS : Our goal is on the one hand to give Doreen the opportunity to have her arm treated and on the other hand to secure the financing of her education in the long term by providing school fees and alternative learning materials.
